A Mini Episode

Here is a Mini¬†Lesson (which turned into a full length video) ūüôā it was only suppose to be a quick “how to” and not part of the series. In this episode I deconstruct a¬†puppet, this¬†will shed light on the construction process.

It’s hard to bear the dissection of this bear.

Despite how sad puppet dissection may appear, I have to admit that it is really helpful in learning about different building techniques. Thanks Tom. I’ve repaired lots of mass market puppets and this has been also very educational. You learn that there is more than one way to construct various elements. My favorite things to learn are variations in mouth plate construction and head shapes.
