Here is a picture of a Grover costume I made in one hour! Believe it or not! I made it during a rest period at my camp (Camp Trillium), the kids loved it, but it was super hot to wear however, as I made it to fit perfectly and there was no room for heat to escape. The mouth acted as the sight holes, and there were no real ear holes made- so it was really hard to hear. The person who wore the outfit did a near and far skit during our campfires. “Grover” would teach the kids the difference between near and far by running as far away as he could and yelling “FAR!” for far; then run back and yell “Near”…he did this about 10 times and at the end of it was sweating buckets. Later, he included wet and dry…dumping buckets of water on his head for wet, and turning on strategically placed fans for dry. The skit ended with him jumping in the Lake…for the “WET” finally! Surprisingly the costume is still being used today for the same skits…ten years later! Pretty good for something made in an hour with hot glue!
