How to videos!

Sorry that I didn’t post anything yesterday but I have been working on the remaining “Roly Puppet Building for Beginners” series. I had to re-shoot some of the material due to computer error and completed editing the remaining episodes last night. For those who have been patiently waiting for the remaining videos I apologize. Stay Tuned!

My Recent Puppet Build

Here are a couple of photos from my last puppet build. I’m hopeing to get it done soon so I can catch up on some other builds I need to get done before April.  I hope to start working on the remaining puppet building tutorials as soon as I get this guy complete, so stay tuned.

I’m Back!

Thanks goes out to all those who visited and commented on my father’s passing. I’m back now and just finished sorting through emails, and in the next couple of days will try to post all the news worthy material!

Thanks again for all your patience and understanding. You are all great friends!

Kermit’s done!

I’m done building Kermit…well almost. I still have to pick the seams and adjust the eyes a bit, then I’ll be done. It took me a while to get it just right but I think it looks pretty darn close. Sorry for the “hunched over” look Kermit has in the photos. I had to take the photo myself 🙂

Kermit Green

Here is my latest version of Kermit I finished last night…this time in green. 🙂 I still need to pick the seams, redo the eyes and then work on the body. I plan to be done by the end of tonight. Pretty good thus far, I’ll post more photos as I progress.

A Purple Kermit?

Here is a prototype of a famous frog I’m presently building for myself. It didn’t take me too long to figure out. I’ve always wanted to build Kermit (basically since I was age 6) but never felt I could accomplish it until my skills were fine tuned. I basically used scrap materials for the initial construction; until I got the look and feel of the character. I used a sewing machine instead of hand stitching because my first Kermit head was stitched by hand but failed miserably. Now that I have the right look (I think) i’ll dismantle the puppet to get the final pattern traced. Please do not ask me to make a Kermit for you, or for the pattern. Out of respect for the character; and the fact that I could get my butt sued by Disney for building and distributing their licensed material- this Kermit is for my own personal collection and will not be used for any other medium.
